BIM setup and standards
Project templates, family libraries, naming and parameter structure. Shared parameter sets and ISO 19650 family organisation are put in place.

Training
Run on a live project of your own, never on a prepared sample file. What you keep afterwards is a project that moved forward, not a training exercise.

Project-based modelling
Architectural model production and DWG to Revit conversion. Includes model checking: unenclosed rooms, elements missing from schedules.

Quantities and room schedules
Formwork areas, floor and wall quantities are computed from the model. Room schedules and tables export to Excel.

Revit add-in development
Dimensioning, room numbering, schedule export and similar manual routines collapse into one command. Written in C# on the Revit API.

How the work runs

Conversation
Which task is still done by hand, and whose time it eats.

Review
A live project file, template and family library are examined. Findings come in writing.

Build
Depending on scope: a template is set up, a model is produced, training is run, or an add-in is written.

Handover
Templates, models, source code and usage notes, as the work requires; all handed over in writing.

Tools in use
BIM Butler
Revit tools I built and use on consulting work. Not a product for sale; part of the work itself. What they do:
The context model is built from the map.
Topography, surrounding buildings and roads are modelled for the selected parcel. Parcel geometry comes from the cadastral service; setback lines are set.
CAD drawings move into Revit.
DWG is read; layers are mapped and built as walls, doors, windows and columns.
The model is checked before delivery.
Unenclosed rooms, elements missing from schedules and room compliance are checked. Findings come in writing.
Quantities are taken from the model.
Formwork areas, automatic dimensioning and schedule export to Excel.

The BIM side of a project, from template and standards setup through to model checking, is handled end to end by one person. The Revit tools used day to day are self-built, to cut down repetitive work.
